Important Message From President Cooper

Springfield College's decision to move all classes online for the Spring 2020 semester. This is an email sent by the Office of the President to all students and staff at Springfield College. This email informed the members of the Springfield College community that classes would be moved to online as a result of the growing COVID-19 threat in the United States. This email was sent while students were home for spring break, six days after President Cooper held a forum regarding the college's plan of action during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This email was chosen because it holds importance to understanding the uncertainty that was present at this time. In the email President Cooper states the decision to move online but is unable at the time to give any details as to how it will be performed. The uncertainty in this email truly shows that this is an unprecedented scenario that was never anticipated.
