Kids on a hike
Title
Subject
Kids hiking during covid for fun.
Description
My submission is all photos of the outdoor memories I created with my buddies over covid. The bonds I created as a result of these trips are friendships that will last a lifetime, and I am so grateful to have met them in my life. Covid was dark for all of us in some way. Being away from my group of people for an extended period sparked my curiosity. Everyday I asked myself: how can I get outside and be with my friends while still having a good time and being safe? For a long time nothing was possible. Then, while I was scrolling through reddit, I came across a thread related to backpacking. I then proceed to wonder what a backpacking trip with all my friends would look like. Moments later I was texting them all about it, and 2 months later we’re in Yosemite exploring Angel’s Landing. These photos mean much to me because of the memories they have attached to them. I can confidently say that I wouldn’t be the person I am today had I not gone on that trip. Backpacking was an experience that brought us all together so much closer then we could have ever thought of. It is crazy to think that such a small thing can have such a large impact on life.
Coverage
A good representation of what it was like out hiking.
