Working from home: The early days

Description

Image of an open laptop, small spiral notebook, yellow legal pad, pen, novel (Tana French's "The Witch Elm"), mug of coffee, and eyeglasses on a dining room table with a floral tablecloth. The laptop is displaying the Library Services homepage, which has recently been updated with COVID-19 information.

Coverage

I originally took this photo of my work-from-home setup to post on the Learning Commons Instagram account. This was in late March, when students were just returning from the extended Spring Break and we were all beginning our remote instruction adventure. The library staff had rapidly switched from working on campus to working fully from home during the work day on Monday, March 16, and when this photo was taken two weeks later my "desk" on the dining room table still felt very temporary. I included the Tana French novel in the photo because it was the last book I checked out from the library before we abruptly left campus, so it was my first official "quarantine read."
