Hey friend,
This is a poem/ song of a first-hand account of life during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. Because of the urge to quarantine, people would go months without seeing friends and others not living in the same space. During this difficult time, we must remember to find ways to stay connected, such as video chatting and text messaging. The poem/song attempts to capture those feelings of uncertainty and longing for interaction during this time.

This petition was created to express Graduate Students' desires for change regarding the tuition cost of the 2020 Summer semester. It provides not only a link to data surveyed by graduate students about the feeling and sentiments regarding the shift to online learning due to COVID 19 but also provides reasoning as to why the tuition should be decreased for the coming semester.

Military Check Points
Guam National Guard member
Guam National Guard has set up check points around the island making sure that residents are not leaving their homes for unessential reasons. They are questioning people at these checkpoints on major roads and patrolling public areas to make sure people are following social distancing and stay at home orders.

I choose this photo because it shows an extreme measure the government has taken to try and keep the island of Guam safe. It is intimidating to see the National Guard at these checkpoints and it helps keep people off the streets if they do not need to be. Guam has taken much stricter regulations to the movement of people and this photos is just an image of one of those restrictions in affect.
The Feeling of Being Quarantined
This is a sketch by a Springfield College junior enrolled in Prof. Ian Delahanty's HIST 106 class. It is a hand-drawn illustration of a coronavirus microbe surrounded by images associated with Springfield College and brief quotes from the artist's friends.

I decided to draw an image of what it is like to living during quarantine. I had some time on my hands and drawing is a huge stress reliever. I think it is important to preserve this drawing because I took quotes from people who I surround myself with and how they are feeling during this time. You will notice how people want to be back at Springfield College. The mast majority of students have lost a lot due to being away from teachers, friends, clubs and sports.

The homemade masks show how we are facing limited resources for not only everyday people to protect themselves but for all the medical staff on the front lines to as well. This will help future researchers realizes the sense of urgency our nation and world were in for personal protective equipment to prevent the virus from spreading. People had to make homemade masks from scrap fabric because it was the only options due to such a shortage of equipment. It will help future researchers understand the lives of everyone who wanted to protect themselves and others from the virus. This item is important to preserve because it might represent what our future may look like going forward as a result of COVID-19, mask may be a part of our everyday attire. This specific item was made for my local fire department and their families by a local citizen, 75 masks were made in total so far.
